    P-Class Sail Designs

P-Class NationalsWe have worked hard to make sure that we have a range of P Class sail designs to suit your needs. The P-Class is known to have a large range of weights and abilities spread around the classes competitors and as such the P Class requires several sail designs to make sure everyone is competitive.
Our design types are easy for you to identify on the race track by the color of the square background behind the North Sails logo.

All of our sails come complete with an option of 4 battens for the bottom 3 pockets to let you experiment and learn with the shape in the back of your sail and a light and heavy top batten. Our sails are also made from the new Contender 2.6oz Polykote fabric for the best performance.  Race sails cost $714 + GST ea

    Gold (Light)
This is our flattest design and is straighter in the back than the black.  It also has a more modern panel layout and is 1-2% flatter than the black (medium).  It is designed to fit on a green carbon mast and suits sailors under 44 kilograms.
    Black (medium)
Is our most popular sail by far, and a proven performer.  You can order the black sail to have a luff curve to suit either a green or a blue mast depending on your weight or skill.  The ideal weight range for this sail is for skippers between 45-50kgs.
    White (medium-heavy)

This sail is for people that feel they have out-grown the black sail but can not quite handle the blue design.  This sail suits a blue mast and skippers between 50-55kgs.
    Blue (heavy)
Our most powerful design and not for the faint hearted.  If you are 55Kgs and highly skilled you should start thinking about purchasing this sail.

We have a full range of accessories available for the P Class.

    Trail Covers
The trail cover is a simple Nylon top cover which is available in several colors and designed purely for protecting the boat from dust and rain while it is being trailed around. Trail covers are $135.00 including GST.

    Rigged Cover
The Rigged cover is highly waterproof and is made from Polyester Odyssey III Fabric. It comes with velcro closed slots to fit around sidestays and masts letting you put the cover on the boat while rigged up overnight at regattas. The rigged covers are also available in a range of colors but because of their primary use we recommend white or grey to help reflect the sun's heat. Rigged covers are $220 including GST.

    Hiking Straps
Both Top and Bottom Hiking straps are available in a range of colors. All are padded with 50mm wide foam.
Top Only - $60.00 including GST

    Foil Covers
Padded and available in a range of colors. Fits both centerboard and rudder along with the tiller and extension. - $100 including GST.

    Spare Battens and Sail Numbers
Blue Streak Battens - $9 each including GST
Sail Numbers - We are able to replace and change sail numbers on older sails, however please realise that the old numbers have stuck very well and it can be very time consuming to remove them which can sometime lead to costly bills. New Sail Numbers cost $6 each including GST.
