Kent Luxton and Josee Derden run the North Sails Picton branch.

Kent Luxton has been North Sails NZ since its inception in 1978. He designed the sails for New Zealand’s winning Admiral’s Cup team with a great team of sailmakers who went on to form the nucleus of great Round the World teams including Steinlager and Fisher & Paykel, and participated in several America’s Cup events.

He has travelled extensively with North Sails, was Production Manager of the Annapolis loft, and in Sri Lanka helped to set up the one design and big boat loft attached to the windsurfing division.

Josee Derden has extensive experience in Europe and New Zealand, including an America’s Cup and international service work, and focuses her time on building new sails and maintaining sails for Marlborough’s large fleet of sailing boats.
