© North Sails NZAndrew, or better known as Willzy, has an extensive yachting background which began at age 8. He progressed through dinghy classes, to Laser full rig and has now been racing keelboats for the last 15 years. Racing in many top level regatta's and World Championships in boats such as, Melges 32, Farr 40’s, Grand Prix IRC yachts, Maxi’s, Super Yachts, and Etchells, of which he was part of the winning crew in the World Championships in Freemantle. Willzy has also coached both men and women to win various events representing New Zealand, including the NZL Youth Olympic Team, and the New Zealand Optimist World Championship winning team. Willzy is married with a young family. He brings to North Sails experience from a wide field of yachting, as well as a keen sense of business and marketing. He studied at Auckland University of Technology on a Prime Ministers Sports Scholarship – and has a degree majoring in marketing and international business, as well as a post-graduate diploma in marketing.
